After being home for a week, we took off to pick up a load in Weatherford, TX, not far from either one of our metroplex daughters. Good thing, too, because we ended up having truck issues (shock!! π±π€―), and needing a place to land for a few days.
You don't really know how much you can count on people until you * really* need to count on them. With Caroline still at Our house, we were now being rescued by her roommate and staying in Her room for a few nights. π. It was something kin to a Freaky Friday switch. I was thankful for a quiet place to chill while Hubs and the roommate worked on healing Trusty. I also got to see our other beautiful daughter who came to spend an afternoon with me before we finally got back on the road. For a minute.

To make a long story short, our now hero Michael (roomie) got the truck back on its legs and sent us waving down the road headed BACK HOME, with a full trailer that was supposed to go to Tulsa, OK, so we could have just a little warranty work accomplished, finally getting Trusty a bit more trustworthy! π³

Never fear, we ended up having an exciting week thereafter traveling from home to Ohio and back to Indiana! There had been so many sights to see and so many memories made. π π» πΊοΈ πΆ A definite highlight for us both was touring the grounds and stadium of Notre Dame. I Googled a little lesson on how to properly pronounce the name, and someone said it’s just Fighting Irish! Lol You just don’t get much more historical, breathtaking, or inspirational.
Enjoy a small gallery of our favorite photos on that trip.

Another trip across the Mighty Mississip!

What a grand adventure! While the memories were still fresh, we learned our next stop would be another favorite for us: Chicago!!
Please take a trip over to the Windy City with us.
